Final Inspection cleaning guide 

Please ensure that the following items are attended to before the final inspection of your property:

  • Paintwork – wash down all walls and ensure that all marks are removed, clean all skirtings, doors, robes and power points.
  • Carpets – arrange for the carpet to be steam cleaned and have all stains removed. The receipt is required at the final inspection.
  • Floors – tiled and wooden floor areas are to be cleaned, paying special attention to the grouting in the tiles.
  • Cabinets – to be cleaned internally and all doors and bench tops are to be free of dirt and grime.
  • Appliances – remove all grease from the oven, cook top, rangehood and dishwasher.
  • Windows – to be cleaned inside and out (where possible).
  • Light fittings – replace all globes not working, clean/wipe all light fittings to remove dust and insects.
  • Bathroom – clean all tiled walls paying special attention to any mouldy grout. Clean bath, basin, toilet, shower screen and exhaust fan.
  • Remove all personal belongings from the property including rubbish, boxes etc.
  • Garage/Car spaces/storage – oil stains are to be cleaned and all rubbish removed.
  • Complete mail redirection form.
  • Notify all relevant authorities for final disconnection following vacate inspection.
  • Gardens (where applicable) – Ensure all lawns are mowed, garden beds weeded, edges trimmed, paths swept.

NOTE: Rent will be charged until the keys/remotes have been returned to our office.
